Premiere: Deserted Island – Grange (Fabrizio Mammarella Remix)

Five years after their inaugural release, Vilnius-based imprint Good Skills line up their first extended-player ‘Chunga Chunga‘ from production duo Deserted Island, consisting of Copenhagen-based brotherhood Lukas and Matas.

With ‘Chunga Chunga‘, Deserted Island presents its first 12-inch. Over the course of three tracks, Deserted Island deliver a hybrid patchwork of tribal-infused italo, leftfield house and deviant EBM completed with three remixes from post-italo maestro Fabrizio Mammarella, Cómeme boss Matias Aguayo and In Flagranti.

Today, we are pleased to premiere Fabrizio Mammarella’s version of ‘Grange‘ – a space-time blackout spanning italo-disco illusions and synth-driven EBM. Taking off with a constellation of midnight bells and post-punk rhythms, followed by psyched-out arpeggios, spiralling hi-hats and bumpy basslines culminating with a synthesized apogee at the midsection.

‘Chunga Chunga’ EP is scheduled for release 27 June via Good Skills. Order a copy from Bandcamp
