LA-based record label StrataSonic tighten their grip on the underground with ‘Everything Liquid‘, a shape-shifting EP from the eponymous duo that slides into the bloodstream like chrome in warm water.
New on paper but already steeped in studio voodoo, Everything Liquid dive-bomb into the dance ether with a quintet of cuts that reimagine liquid drum & bass – not merely flirting with the UK continuum, but dissolving into it, then redrawing the outlines in shimmering ink.
Think 4am motorway soul; jungle as remembered by a sentient dream archive – fluid, fractured, and unreasonably lush. Breaks tumble like dusty film reels, pads stretch out like vapor trails at golden hour, and subs murmur secrets from beneath the floorboards.
For the premiere, we select the dub version of ‘No Signal’ – a spectral, syncopated séance opening with airy vocal fragments and pillow-soft synth drift. Here, Everything Liquid peels back the skin of the original to expose a micro-funk nervous system: stuttering, glitched-out but elegantly alive. A ceremonial rinse of warm analog textures and bubbling synthetics, this one’s custom-built for those heady, between-time club moments where gravity loosens and limbs float.
‘Everything Liquid‘ EP is scheduled for release 2nd May via StrataSonic. Order a copy.
