Celebrating their twentieth release, Santiago-based platform Halcxn line up eight bona fide cuts – courtesy of Chilean producer and label head honcho Sebastián Mella, better known as Fantasna.
In addition to previous releases on Latin diaspora imprint Pirotecnia, Apparel Music and Neovinyl Recordings, ‘Estar Contigo‘ is a deep house anthem topped off with a remix from Cómeme affiliate Vaskular. Throughout his eight tracks, Fantasna effortlessly blends deep house, lo-fi beats, and soulful electro.
‘Bosque Rojo‘ is our top pick from this release – thanks to its swirls of excogitative synthesizers, solace-giving basslines, high-spirited drum arrangements and long-distant hollers. Tagged along with Detroit house masterminds such as Mike Huckaby or Demarkus Lewis for a sunrise set on the Mapocho river early in the morning.
