Premiere: Group Zero – Memorial Device

Belfast’s Touch Sensitive Records are back with another LP of blistering electronics with a post-punk edge. For their next release, the label delivers the second full-length project from Group Zero, the solo project of Belfast-based musician, Cathal Cully.

Everyone’s Already Come Apart‘ is somewhat of a departure from the cold minimalism and industrial tones of his previous effort for the label. Compared to ‘Structures And Light’, the new record is filled with a lot of warmth and optimism in addition to more dancefloor influence.

Our pick from the release is the ‘Memorial Device’. With hazy synths, dusty drums and a hearty dose of lo-fi melancholy, it’s somewhere between bleary-eyed new wave and emotive slo-mo house. It should hopefully please fans of both.

‘Everyone’s Already Come Apart’ is scheduled for release 22 October via Touch Sensitive Records. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
