Following up to a pair of extended players on E-Beamz, Kalahari Oyster Cult and a debut album for Seagrave last year, Manchester-based producer Interplanetary Criminal steps up on local imprint Dansu Discs with an infectious five-track melter whose stated purpose is nothing less than bringing summer dance floors to a wild, sustained simmer, straight up until complete resource exhaustion.

A feelgood UK garage slab of the finest ilk, our premiere – the sensuous lead-track ‘Confused‘, is one to have you levitating in a state of warm, soul-healing euphoria throughout. Horns blazing and nasty breaks cascading in copious amounts, IC whips up a gentle frenzy of classic 2-step rhythms, dreamy chimes and disruptive incoming call samples, interfolded with Amethyst’s luscious R&B-infused vocals, setting up what promises to be one of this summer’s major bangers undoubtedly.
