Having previously released music alongside Bartosz Kruczyński under their production alias Ptaki, 2018 marked the coining of Jaromir Kaminski’s very own imprint Polena Recordings.
The label has since released two solo works from Kaminski, plus a three-track digital release from fellow Polish producer Sosky. Now the label present their fourth release ‘Moon Call‘ EP from production duo Jazxing who have previously released music via Transatlantyk and The Very Polish Cut-Outs.
With a former band background, ‘Moon Call‘ EP recalls the duos penchant for live instrumentation. Our pick “Midnight Stand” is a deep dive into intoxicating dark disco. The reverie-inducing bassline smoothly swings between dreamy guitar chords, dubbed out bass and naive harmonica tonalities, whilst reverb laden vocals draw reckless travellers close to the shimmery and tempting water surface. A dance-driven smooth perdition from which it is impossible to escape.
