Following up ‘Montezuma‘ from Steel Traxx in July, Birmingham-based Erbium Records prepare to release ‘Anthrobotics‘ from British production duo Joku, consisting of Jordan Harding and Kulv Ghatora.
Over the past two years, Harding and Ghatora have meticulously sculpted the bedrock of their arcade-inspired anthology. Now, the duo unveil their debut solo offering, ‘Anthrobotics’, an exploration into the very pulse of hyper-connected circuitry. Across five tracks, the EP delivers a relentless, earth-shaking cruise, fusing the primal energy of proto-electro grooves with the slick propulsion of euro techno and infectious, splintered breaks.
‘Circuit Sensations’ emerges as a spectral incursion into the void, fusing feverish drum breaks with the relentless hum of subterranean turbines. Set at a driving 132 BPM, the track unfurls into a web of cyber textures, where digital echoes of human voices reverberate through the machinery, creating a disembodied, almost otherworldly atmosphere.
It’s a deep-rooted soundtrack for the high-speed, self-absorbed nomads navigating the polished arteries of the modern city — a frenetic, pulse-driven score for those toiling at the fringes of a fast-paced, hyper-connected world.
‘Anthrobotics’ is scheduled for release on 22nd November via Erbium Records. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
