Now on the cusp of their twenty-sixth release, Berlin-based imprint Ombra International prepare to release ‘STSFXN‘ EP from the tenebrous Parisian producer Karassimeon.
Following previous appearances on Toulouse-based Ritmo Fatale, ‘STSFXN‘ takes inspiration from scintillating disco and leather-clad fetishism. Certainly not unfamiliar with post-italo aesthetics, Karassimeon’s debut single for Ombra International glides effortlessly between EBM psychedelia and dark disco melodrama.
Our pick for the premiere is the vocal version of ‘STSFXN‘ – thanks to its warped synth-punk arpeggios, 4/4 obscure disco rhythms, wayward utterances and post-apocalyptic choirs. A must-have for any smoke-filled synthesizer freaks, whether they’re scrupulously disco lovers or post-punk anarchists.
