Kassian have been keeping busy since the launch of their label Faux Poly roughly a year ago. Alongside what appears to be a pretty packed gig schedule, they’ve been diligently tending to their imprint, releasing new music from Jay Carder and Ste Roberts in the past few months.
Since the label’s beginnings, the London-based duo have been inviting producers to remix anything from the Faux Poly catalogue so far. With 32 remixes from a broad range of artists set to be released this year, ‘Faux Poly: Remixed 001’ is the first of 4 remix packages.
Revisiting Kassian’s ‘Running In Your Area’ EP, Dutch UKG specialist DJ Crisps delivers his own interpretation of ‘Actions’. The producer tweaks the silky pads of the original, giving them a rhythmic stutter. The result is a slick 2-step cut with a dub techno accent.
