Premiere: Los Pashminas – Turtle Haze Convolution

Zurich-based Subject To Restrictions Discs minted their white label series last year with an EP of delightful cuts from Don Kashew. The second chapter in the series lands imminently, courtesy of Fribourg duo Los Pashminas.

While their collaboration is a reasonably recent endeavour, Oase and Vighil have both been active in the local scene for a number of years. Together, they contributed a track to ‘Make Some Room: Electronic Relief In Switzerland’ in the early stages of the pandemic, ‘White Series #2’ marks the duos first full release.

Our pick is ‘Turtle Haze Convolution’, a track whose weighty thuds seem as though they could leave literal impressions. Lurking well below the 100bpm mark, its glutinous bassline is seasoned with the kind of paranoid atmospherics that will have you looking over your shoulder.

‘White Series #2’ is scheduled for release 4 February via Subject To Restrictions Discs. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
