Premiere: Ma Sha Ru – PCCCC (Lechuga Zafiro Remix)

Today’s premiere is a collaborative project that stretches oceans and emotions, courtesy of the twosome known as Ma Sha Ru. A pairing born across two sides of the Atlantic, the project was stemmed between physical and digital realisation, as both Brooklyn-via-Moscow DJ Ma Sha and Berlin-via-Italy producer Rù cultivated a narrative that informs their various sonic similarities into a charming, eclectic EP for Sorry Records.

The four-tracker (entitled Near The Equinoxes) is an excellent representation of the melange of genres they simultaneously admire and adopt; presenting a whimsical hybrid of breakbeat, hip-hop and UK bass – leading all the way to the closer of the release, as well as the premiere track of choice.

NAAFI affiliate Lechuga Zafiro brings a brazen, frenetic energy to ‘PCCCC’, something that will demonstrably slay on the dancefloor. Whilst the original track shows reverence towards the current extrapolations of UK bass, Lechuga’s maddening remix takes it in rhythmic directions that are equal parts adventurous, adulating and astounding. Try not losing yourself in this absolute banger after the jump.

‘Near The Equinoxes’ is scheduled for release 8 November 2019. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
