After delivering several releases from the likes of Manchester-born legend Ruf Dug, LB aka Labat, Moomin and Dutch producer Frits Wentink, London-based record label Wolf Music line up their 71st release ‘The Del Sol‘ EP – courtesy of Auckland via London laidback producer Manuel Darquart.
With previous releases on Sydney-based imprint Planet Trip, Seb Wildblood’s Coastal Haze and Slam City Jams – ‘The Del Sol‘ EP transports us to a burning hot sand dune surrounded by cascades of tribal house, hazed-out Balearic and contemporary italo-disco. Without forgetting the Amnesia-infused ‘Del Sol’ re-bounce – courtesy of Oakland-based producer Space Ghost.
Our pick is ‘Jerry’s Song‘ thanks to its intricate percussion patchwork intertwined with distant harbor synthesizers and a whimsical, tipsy beach suite. The sea breeze is rubbing against your skin, and you’re gradually losing sight of Sa Talaiassa.
‘The Del Sol’ EP is scheduled for release on 8 December via WOLF Music. Order a vinyl copy from Phonica.
