Succeeding the ‘Music Don’t Stop‘ EP from Wohj in February, Ibiza-based record label Suraw prepare to release ‘Perspective‘ LP from Uruguay-born producer Marcelo Demarco.
After previous releases on Bulgarian imprint Set About and IAMT, ‘Perspective‘ delivers nine tracks of bare-knuckle techno. Rhythms from speedball drum machines, corrupted synths, and FX-splattered signals produce a soundtrack of mortals worshipping inconspicuous spirits in obscure catacombs.
Our pick for the premiere is ‘MD1‘ – a coal-faced techno cut specially designed for Berghain’s inferno. A high dose of 909-esque hi toms, thundering kick drums and light-year echoes make this the perfect peak-time mood-altering medication.
‘Perspective’ LP is scheduled for release on 12th April via SURAW. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
