One year after their inaugural release, Berlin-based imprint W133 prepare to release the ‘Aqua Pura‘ EP – courtesy of experimental multi-disciplinary artist Marnie P, better known as Martini.
Following numerous appearances on Brooklyn-based outlet Kindergarten and Turin-based imprint Early Reflex, Martini lines up three original cuts, rounded off with two remixes – courtesy of label head honcho Pino Peña and New York-based misfit Palitra. With its five tracks, ‘Aqua Pura‘ keeps its head above water with a torrent of breaks, overflowing deconstructed bass cuts, and braindance extravaganza.
Our pick for the premiere is American producer Palitra‘s interpretation of ‘Liquorice‘ – a dubbed-out fantasy broadcast from a glass pyramid jam-packed with tortured daredevils. In this slo-mo bass-heavy soundscape infused with lysergic synthesizers, infectious rhythms and spaced-out frequencies, Palitra brings boundless valleys of synthesized abundance.
