Following notable releases from disco mastermind Jacques Renault, Lay-Far, Sounds Familiar’s zealot Patrick Gibin and Toy Tonics affiliate Felipe Gordon, Brooklyn-based label Razor-N-Tape prepare to release the collaborative ‘We Live In The Hills‘ EP – courtesy of super disco duo Eddie C and Max Essa.
After previous appearances on Mule Musiq’s Endless Flight, Marcel Vogel’s Lumberjacks In Hell and Music For Dreams, Max Essa and Eddie C take us Eden’s high grounds for a series of idle moments. With the ‘We Live In The Hills‘ EP, the duo presents a moony fantasy filled with laidback disco, soulful house and acid-infused balearic.
Our pick for the premiere is ‘We Live In The Hills‘ – from its spaced-out bongos and modern funk basslines to eerie synthesizers and groovy strains of guitar riffs, this infectious jam drags us on a misty dancefloor embracing the first rays of dawn.
‘We Live In The Hills’ EP is scheduled for release on 8th March via Razor-N-Tape. Order a vinyl copy from Bandcamp.
