Creaked Records gear up to issue their latest double vinyl album release from Swiss producer Nic As Well, previously known under the moniker Lemonick.
‘Prone’ unfurls like a vertiginous descent into digital club inferno. Spread across 11-tracks, the producer fuses a dense patchwork of bass, deconstructed club patterns, lethal breaks and EBM chuggers that sounds like steel melting under pressure.
Our pick from the album is ‘Tickler‘. Opening with precision-drilled drum patterns threaded through a maze of tension-charged frequencies, Nic As Well drags the audience in a Gqom-tinged dimension, ready to be blasted in a jam-packed yard in the townships of Alexandra. As the track unfolds, a maelstrom of stomping kicks collides with FX-warped screams, ending in a cyber aftershock that remains forever like a planetary memory.
‘Prone’ is scheduled for release on 10th October via Creaked Records. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
