Nous’klaer Audio prepare to release the much-anticipated album from French-born and Ecuador-based producer Nicola Cruz.
Debuting on Canadian imprint Multi Culti in 2015, Cruz has emerged as a leading figure in Ecuador’s electronic music scene, enthralling audiences worldwide with DJ performances at Bassiani, Berghain and Seoul-based club Nyapi. Now, Cruz steps up to deliver ‘Kinesia‘ on the Rotterdam-based label, interweaving nine tracks of superlunary breaks, equatorial trip-hop, trance-infused IDM and earthy drone textures into a cohesive tapestry of club-oriented psychedelia.
Our pick is ‘Telepathine‘. Complemented by the perfect dose of beta-carboline alkaloids, the track kicks off with deeply distorted murmurs of mangrove movements and neo-idyllic soundscapes, morphing into a delirium of breaks, ecstatic chants and crystalline trance atmospheres, whisking listeners deep into a network of earthen mounds and buried roads in rainforest area of Ecuador.
