Premiere: Phelan Kane – Sangsaric Illusions (Appleblim Remix)

Three years after their inaugural release, Scotland-based imprint Bulletdodge return with the six-track ‘Subliminal‘ EP – courtesy of producer, mastering engineer and music lecturer Phelan Kane.

After collaborating with several super bands such as Depeche Mode and Radiohead and teaching music production for the likes of Ableton, Berlin via London-based misfit Phelan Kane lines up four original cuts, rounded off with two remixes – courtesy of Fleck E.S.C. and Appleblim.

Our pick from the release is Appleblim’s interpretation of ‘Sangsaric Illusions‘ – starting with obstreperous screams from moonlight creatures and followed with distant polyphonic prose accompanied by dubbed-out basslines, arpeggio ripples and dark tech-house grooves. If you’re a midnight marauder giving up on finding the rave in the forest, find the most comfortable moss to lie on and play it loud.

‘Superluminal’ is scheduled for release on 20 November via Bulletdodge. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
