Now on the cusp of its fourth release, Turin-based imprint and producer Humanoid Gods enlist nine other producers to contribute to the obscure landscapes of Italian techno on the forthcoming various artists’ compilation ‘Alien-Approved Terrestrial Soundwaves’.
Consisting of 6 tracks, the compilation features the likes of label head honcho Humanoid Gods, analog techno duo Exilles, cyborg-like trio Moken, Talpanera, Riot Radio’s affiliate E.L.I.A.S and Alpha Solo. ‘Alien-Approved Terrestrial Soundwaves‘ spans other-worldly warehouse breaks, speedball techno and mind-bending bass.
Our pick is ‘Turbolento’ by Talpanera – thanks to its ghostly soundscapes, infectious kick drums fused with syncopated percussions and downtempo distress. Whoever hasn’t found a reason to get out of bed, stand up and follow the tempo.
