For their next EP, Australian label Mind Dance have recruited Berlin-based artist SJ Tequilla. On ‘GG Allien’, the Japanese producer delivers 4 no-nonsense dancefloor tracks inspired by classic club sounds and equipment.
SJ Tequilla is also the brains behind the top-quality Shot of T imprint which has featured music by Porn Sword Tobacco and DJ Fett Burger as well as his own productions and collaborations.
One such collaborative project is Teknobuskers, a duo comprised of SJ Tequilla and Aaty. The pair are known for their live analogue hardware jams near Belrin’s Warschauer Straße station. That same DIY spirit feels present on ‘GG Allien’. ‘Horse Ride’, our pick from the release, is a crunchy and playful bit of acid house that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
