Premiere: Sleep D & Albrecht La’Brooy – 31 Degrees

Since its relative recent inception in 2014, Melbourne’s Analogue Attic Recordings has been gradually gathering momentum. The label rounds off 2017 with ‘After The Rain‘, provided by label founders Alex Albrecht and Sean La’Brooy in tandem with Butter Sessions duo Sleep D. Already it has seen a diverse set of artists such as Sage Caswell, John Osborn, Chaos In The CBD and Darko Esser already showing appreciation.

There’s plenty to get into with ‘After The Rain‘ and our premiere ‘31 Degrees’ is the perfect starting point. It is the obvious hook of the release and the sole uptempo moment on show. There is a certain “track two” vibe to the track, the wax you reach for as you set your mix on course with its intro to signal the intent to lock into gear. Its deep and dubby atmosphere with intent is sure to beguile those early hours dancefloors, and it is sure to have the staying power to be rolled out as we power through winter and spring into summer.

A pair of aqua pieces of ambient kick off the release in the form of ‘Marshland‘ and title track ‘After The Rain‘, whimsical futurism with ‘Bogged‘ and a lovely piece of downtempo in ‘Limestone‘ that pairs up crisp beats and radio tuning chirps with a fluid piano melody.

‘After The Rain’ is scheduled for release 4th December 2017, order a copy from Bandcamp.
