Premiere: Textasy – Acid Eater

If his previous outings for Natural Sciences, E-Beamz and Exotic Robotics earnt him his stripes as one of the most gifted electro young guns to have emerged over the last couple years, this time Texas-born, Berlin-based producer Textasy bends the curve onto harsher, hardcore-inflected techno terrains with ‘Acid Eater‘, the debut iteration of Craigie Knowes‘ newborn C-KNOW-EVIL sub-branch.

Streaming through our channels today, the rough and choppy title-cut finds Dustin Evans dropping the hammer in particularly vicious fashion. Harnessing a storm of frenzied 303 braids, rabid drum programming and oddball vox samples, the track takes you for five-minute plus of an epic rodeo on the back of untamed sinewaves, delayed steely percs and gargling distortions, before letting a burst of early ’90s-spirited rave chords a la Altern-8 take over for a proper chuffing old-school finale.

Acid Eater is released via Craigie Knowes on 5th April, pre-order a copy from Juno.
