Now on the cusp of their sixteenth release, New York-based label Sheik N Beik line up seven peak time cuts – courtesy of record collector, vocalist and producer The Josh Craig.
After an appearance on the digger’s paradise platform My Analog Journal and a collaboration with Detroit producer Shigeto – American multidisciplinary artist The Josh Craig steps into the doorway of 2099’s version of Paradise Garage. With its seven tracks, ‘MDM 2099‘ leads the listener through a misty labyrinth of analog techno snarls, phantom deep house, drone poetry and acid-like brain monoplegia.
Our pick from the release is ‘Alstrom Landing‘ – a dark ambient sonic hieroglyph translated through a constant state of organized confusion. TJC’s devotion to integrating sci-fi frequencies with swirls of drum magnets and atavistic psalms sets the groundwork for an excellent landing.
