Premiere: Toby Tobias – Second Stimulus

Toby Tobias writes music that dances gleefully on the boundaries between house, disco, and vintage electro, playful experiments that are driven by his ear for rhythm and a light touch that brings his synthesizers to life. His extensive discography has seen a swathe of releases through the likes of Delusions of Grandeur, More Music, Late Night Audio and Rekids.

His latest extended player, due out 30th March via ESP Institute, is his second for the New York-based label – following on from last year’s “Gravitator”. Today we’re glad to present an exclusive premiere of the A-side from the record ‘Second Stimulus’ – spanning five minutes of shimmering synths and delayed samples around a cacophonous beat, before switching things up completely and enlisting some formidable breaks to drive the track’s effervescent coda.

Second Stimulus b/w Synchro Surfer is scheduled for release 30th March 2018 via ESP Institute, order a copy from Juno.
