Following notable releases from Australian producer DJ Plead and Because Music’s mainstay Logic1000, Berlin-based record label Sumac gear up to issue ‘Marakame‘ LP from Viiaan.

Deeply anchored in ecstatic rhythm, Viiaan plunges into a mind-bending blackout, merging spiritual soundscapes with dubbed-out breaks and warehouse-ready Braindance further elevated with peak-time remixes from Hypercolour’s Cassius Select and visionary sound architect Siete Catorce.

Our pick is Siete Catorce‘s remix of ‘How To Heal‘, the quintessential soundtrack for a cyber-psychedelic workout in the middle of deep-rooted Mesoamerican ruins. The track opens with a digital mantra, pulsating with ultra-twisted dancehall rhythms, before evolving into puzzling synth oscillations, FX-laden textures and ambient rainforest recordings. As it progresses, ‘How To Heal‘ unveils shades of experimental dubstep, poised to captivate dancefloors in the near future.
