“Born in Russia and techno-schooled in Germany” as he likes to describe himself, Wnimanie (a transliteration of the Russian word for ‘attention’) makes music that spurns easy classification and linear understanding. Straying away from club-ready 4/4 mechanics to focus on further composite constructions and intricate patterns, the Heidelberg-based producer explores an extra-large gamut of modular electronics and leftfield experimentations.
Taken from Wnimanie’s debut five-tracker for Muscovite imprint Firering, ‘Eindringlinge EP‘ – due out on 25 September, the bleep-heavy ‘Locura Harmonica‘ could be the contemporary revisitation of a Bach toccata as played by an untamed script. Jaunty synth arpeggios fused with martial percussions run wild as the Russian producer enhances the track’s moody presence and hypnotic buildup for just under ten minutes of freewheeling sonic divagations. Captivating.
Eindringlinge EP is released via Firering on 25th September, pre-order a copy from Bandcamp.
