Now on the cusp of their twenty eighth release, Berlin-based imprint Ombra International prepare to release ‘Zero Time‘ EP – courtesy of Coventry-based producer Jamie Walker, better known as Zheng.
The sleazy aesthetics of ‘Zero Time‘ transcend the cloudy skies of the Midlands, translating the tried-and-true perspective of the post-industrial generation. Through four tracks of smokestack coldwave, rusty post-punk, and stained grunge poetry, Zheng take control of their crepuscular fate.
Our pick for the premiere is ‘Inside Out‘ – a corrupted coldwave masterpiece manufactured for noise freaks. With its fearsome kickdrums, multilayers of distorted reverb pedals and anarchist verses, it’s nothing less than a call for mass rebellion.
