It’s party time! On Saturday 26th August Secretsundaze will celebrate their 16th anniversary with an 18-hour day into night party at Oval Space with special guests Sadar Bahar and Marcellus Pittman. Support on the night comes from Rhythm Section head honcho Bradley Zero and Secretsundaze co-founders James Priestley and Giles Smith. You can also expect daytime selections on the terrace from Nick The Record and Donna Leake.
Sadar Bahar’s distinctive stance on the essence of house music has allowed him to stay relevant up till today. With a strictly vinyl-to-vinyl ethos, he is a true digger and is known to deliver the deepest of unknown rare grooves rather than straight beat tracks.
Marcellus Pittman always comes correct with his unique twisted, funked-up brand of boogie, disco, house and techno played with his usual swagger. His releases are few and far between, always anticipated and highly revered.
Early arrival for the daytime session on the terrace is essential as Secretsundaze have picked two DJs that are suitably experienced to soundtrack the afternoon. Nick The Record has quietly been doing his thing for many years. In the UK he is perhaps best known as a go to record dealer based in Brighton but he is a deadly DJ that is perhaps most highly regarded in Japan where he has legendary status after playing for many, many years particularly at the Life Force parties.
Joining Nick on the terrace will be Brilliant Corners resident Donna Leake. She has exemplary taste in music across the board and her Boiler Room set and covering for Floating Points’ NTS show alongside her sometime DJ partner Mafalda has demonstrated.
