Returning this Fall, Physical Therapy’s imprint Allergy Season first delivery of 2015 comes courtesy of NY-based producer Max McFerren.
Also known as MCFERRDOG, the East-coaster already has a handful of releases under his belt, including two albums and fresh-off-the-factory Sipps EP for Vancouver’s 1080p.
‘Monk’s Mood‘ splits in two hemispheres. The A side is all doped on consuming strings and celestial cantata, halfway pure ground-to-ground broken beat templates and heavenly vocal sequences while for its part the B side unleashes a straight trance-y, didgeridoo-boosted cruiser that’ll take you right up to some Goa beach in a flash.
Last but not least, NY Blondes duo’s reinterpretation of the beautiful ‘Hunting‘ opener makes for a more than solid rework. Stripped back of its original chants, the track offers a poignant 4/4 dramaturgy around McFerren’s profound strings and twisted sound fantasies.
