Sweater On Polo launches Signal Route imprint with ‘Mechanical Confusion’

Following EP’s on Fixed Rhythms and Basement Floor Records plus a mini-LP in 2023 on L.I.E.S. Records, NYC-based producer Sweater On Polo kick-starts his own record label Signal Route with ‘Mechanical Confusion’, a 6-track extended player packing pumping acid, jacking house and DIY techno.

A purveyor of classic hardware including the Roland 707, 303, 727, and Juno synths, Sweater On Polo crafts a distinct lo-fi sound that is impossible not to be moved by. His forthcoming release is said to “favour the techno and basement house approach of early 90’s Chicago innovators found on labels such as Dance Mania, Relief Records, and Saber Records.” – track highlights include ‘Reset‘ and ‘Dirt Down‘.

‘Mechanical Confusion’ is scheduled for release 20th March via Signal Route. Order a vinyl copy from Inverted Audio Record Store.
