Music Video: Objekt – Dazzle Anew

Following the release of Objekt’s second album ‘Cocoon Crush‘ in November, which we ranked #4 in our Best Albums Of 2018, today TJ Hertz shares a music video for ‘Dazzle Anew‘ directed by Joji Koyama.

Joji Koyama is a Japanese filmmaker, animator and graphic artist. His short films, animations and music videos (including Four Tet, Mogwai and Jlin) have screened internationally, winning awards at the London Short Film Festival and British Animation Awards.

Dazzle Anew‘ portrays Kianí Del Valle performing robotic and erratic choreography, twisting and contorting through emotions; hysterics, disgust, seduction.

Kianí Del Valle bears a close resemblance to AI robot Ava, which stared in Alex Garland’s science fiction psychological thriller film Ex Machina (2014) – played by Swedish actress Alicia Vikander. Fans of Chris Cunningham’s ‘Rubber Johnny‘ and ‘All Is Full Of Love‘ take note.
