This week’s episode of our sister mix series Newtype Rhythms arrives courtesy of Berlin-via-US talent Ani Klang.
Not too far removed from her excellent ‘Burn The Empire’ EP on Russian label Hyperboloid released in November, Klang has been busy at her craft since her debut on Infinite Machine in 2017; cultivating a sound that is taut with deconstruction of club themes, experimentation that blurs genre norms and rhythmic energy – resulting in a sound that stands firm on-and-off the dancefloor.
After appearances on platforms such BBC Radio 6 and FACT, Klang beams up a terrific tapestry of a guest mix for Newtype Rhythms – moving between tempos effortlessly and constructing a sonic narrative that is packed with selections that challenge the perceptions of club music going forward.
