Ahead of Avant Garde’s free daytime party this Sunday in Hackney Wick, we’re giving you the heads up about their event next Saturday (8th August) at Corsica Studios with Gardens Of God, Lake People (live) and Few Nolder (live).
Lithuanian producer Gardens Of God, real name Mindaugas Lapinskis, produces a mature and accomplished sound, weaving between house, techno and electronica. It’s hard to place Gardens Of God in any one specific genre, except one of marked ‘musical’.
Lake People is the solo project of Leipzig-based producer Martin Enke. His new Permanent Vacation album “Purposely Uncertain Field”, presented a dance orientated album leaning towards mid 90’s electronica and ambient-like soundscapes with a rich cinematic feel to it. Lake People has also became a sought-after remixer for the likes of Lusine on Ghostly International, Dixon and Guy Gerber. His meditative, somehow spiritual, yet powerful house sound has grown over the years and has made Martin an in demand producer and celebrated live act.
Few Nolder has been making big waves in electronic music, since the release of his debut self titled album on Planet Mu in 2009. His route to house and techno is the result of working with operatic music, composers and several live music projects over the past few years. As a result, Few Nolder’s productions have found their way onto the German imprint Connoisseur including the brilliant ‘If’ as well as the well-received ‘Clouds’ E.P, released in summer 2014. His live shows demonstrate a highly captivating, dynamic, mature and melodic performance.
