After our debut club night at The Goose was devastatingly cut short, Broken Ear returns on Saturday 22 November – this time at Arch 535 in Brixton, an intimate venue nestled beneath the arches of Coldharbour Lane. We’ve reunited the original lineup to relive the night that could have been, with refreshed set times to keep the energy perfectly paced for our dancers.
Marcus Waxx, a rising selector with a knack for peculiarities and textbook belters, steps up armed with a bag full of unearthed gems and rare classics. Having caught the attention of many discerning heads recently, expect a silky blend of deep cuts and timeless favourites.
DJ Antepop, founder of Inverted Audio and curator of Trevinos – Houghton’s annual record fair – brings his sublime record collection of deep house and dub techno to the arch, ready to melt minds and move bodies.
Opening and closing the night is Charlie Ross. After countless quiet days spent behind the counters of London’s record stores, his motley collection of overlooked, leftfield pearls simply has to be heard to be believed.
Expect vinyl-only sets packed with groove-heavy deep house, melodic minimal, and dub techno – from the heads, for the heads.
