Since launching in August 2012 as a pop-up vinyl market on the roof of Netil House, Behind This Wall have evolved to become a resident promoter at Plastic People, bringing the likes of Cabanne, DJ Sprinkles and Powell to the basement club.
Now in their third incarnation Behind This Wall present their personal approach to a pop-up cocktail and oyster bar at F Cooke, the live eel and pie and mash shop on Broadway Market.
The bar is run by BTW residents and interior designer Kitty McKibbin. Not just serving cocktails and oysters but also selecting records to play on the bars solo turntable. Expect soul, jazz, funk and pure oyster driven riddim.
Cocktails include the classic Martini, Old Fashioned (Flor de Can 4yr gold rum, xccolatl mole & hellfire bitters), Collins (Absolut wild tea vodka, pear puree, rhubarb bitters, sours & soda) and the Pickleback shot (Rebel Yell bourbon, shallot vinegar & Tabasco). Beer and Prosecco are also available as are oysters by the dozen or half dozen, hand selected from Billingsgate Market.
Behind This Wall Bar finishes on 3rd August so make sure you head down before it’s over and as an added incentive happy hour runs from 7pm – 8pm.
