LA-based producer Com Truise marks a shift in his musical direction in forthcoming mini-LP ‘Persuasion System‘, scheduled for release via Ghostly International in May 2019.
‘Persuasion System‘ follows in the wake of his 2017 long player and is said to mark a “change – on this planet, in the present – putting forth his most grounded and visceral work to date.”
The project initially began as an experiment, with Com Truise switching digital audio workstations, to rebuild his sonic palette and tasking himself with trying new things out. This freed him from expectations and permitted a process that echoed the tones of more immediate external environments.
For nearly a decade Com Truise’s singular style of melodic beat music subsists as hazy machinist nostalgia, a mainframe downloaded cosmology. Yet with each release, alongside sonic refinement, comes an increasingly visible vapour trail to Haley’s own ontology.
