Exclusively stream ‘Offerings To Njord’ from the new album by D.Å.R.F.D.H.S.

Dutch label Field Recordings might be better known for their various artist 12″ series that have been released since its inception in 2008. However, this year has marked a shift in strategy with a trio of commissioned albums. Kicking off with a textural techno album from L’estasi Dell’oro in January, the will be finishing its sequence in May with a choice slice of synthpop from LIES and Syncrophone act Kartei, the pairing of Voiski & Crysta Patterson. However, it is the middle child in this trilogy that has caught our ears, In The Wake Of The Dark Earth from Opal tapes act D.Å.R.F.D.H.S. aka the Swedish duo of Michel Isorinne and Jonas Rönnberg.

Pure analogue ambient rubs shoulders with dreamlike techno in an amniotic masterpiece, although all superlatives will be reserved for the official review that will be forthcoming on Inverted Audio. In the meantime, our chosen reviewer reached out to Field and D.Å.R.F.D.H.S. to request a treat for our readers – an exclusive stream of his personal highlight Offerings To Njord.

The album hits home on the 30th, so there isn’t long to wait if this little nugget gets you salivating. Check out the listing for the album over at Delsin’s webshop, where the album will be shipping 180g blue vinyl (limited), 180g black vinyl and a variety of digital formats.
