Next September Mike Dehnert‘s Fachwerk will be celebrating its 8th birthday. For the occasion, the Berlin-based imprint will release 8 Years Fachwerk, an anniversary compilation that obviously gives prominence to the core trio of Sascha Rydell, Roman Lindau and Dehnert himself.
To illustrate the label’s evolution and very own journey, the German producers built up a prismatic narrative line throughout the 14-track album, weaving tunes from one another with a rare sense of cohesiveness and calibrating the general mix with sleek style. From dubbed-out techno winders to more bouncy cuts, the trio serves up its sophisticated dancefloor de-constructivism with an inch-perfect efficiency.
Interspersed by discussion fragments and daily life bits, 8 Years Fachwerk turns out to offer a proper long-length collaborative effort rather than the usual assembled collection of sounds we get to hear in similar compilations and projects.
Still a Summer to go before the album lands in all good record stores but here is a visual appetizer for you to enjoy.
8 Years Fachwerk is scheduled for release of 4th September 2015.
