Farewell, Tri Angle Records

In a note posted to Instagram, Tri Angle Records founder Robin Carolan announced the end of his much loved imprint.

Launched in 2010 with a compilation and Balam Acab’s ‘See Birds‘ – Tri Angle was once at the very forefront of the experimental electronic music scene, earning a reputation for releasing witch house, leftfield synth-pop, dark wave, R&B, experimental hip-hop and abstract. There’s no doubt that Carolan had an abnormal tendency to A&R – and as a result issued records from some of the most ground-breaking producers at that time.

Tri Angle’s 10-year discography includes; Clams Casino, Forest Swords, How To Dress Well, oOoOO, Holy Other, Lotic, Balam Acab, Ayshay (Fatima Al Qadiri), Evian Christ, Vessel, Water Borders, The Haxan Cloak, Fis, Vessel, WIFE, AlunaGeorge, SD Laika…the list goes on and on.

Take a look back at Tri Angle’s label profile for interviews with Lotic, WIFE, The Haxan Cloak and music reviews of oOoOO, Clams Casino, How To Dress Well, Vessel, Forest Swords, Holy Other and Boothroyd.
