Hoavi releases archival ambient works on Quiet Time

Following two albums last year through Balmat and Peak Oil, Russian experimental producer Hoavi signs to Quiet Time to release an album of archival ambient works recorded between 2013 – 2020.

Ranked 4th in our Best Albums of 2021, Hoavi’s aforementioned ‘Invariant‘ album on Peak Oil reminded us of the proximity of one genre to the next, and demonstrated how to carve a neat line from ambient music to more dancefloor orientated sounds, all without letting the listener up for air.

His new album ‘Posle Vsego‘ – translated as ‘After Everything‘ – delivers 11 intricate tracks of widescreen electronics and textural soundscapes. Peppered with pitch bends and distorted atmospheres, resulting in a deeply poignant album. Highlights include ‘Kalanchoe In‘, ‘Mercenary‘, ‘Perfect Darkness‘.

‘Posle Vsego’ is scheduled for release 4 February via Quiet Time. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
