As we enter the first week of summer, we find new sounds in familiar places. Based in Berlin, up-and-coming artist Max Dahlhaus is honing his craft with his enigmatic production chops, most recently heard in his ‘Blakc Otu’ release for Dutch imprint New York Haunted.
Dahlhaus has found solace in the comfortable niche between sight and sound by complimenting his sonics with a visual flare, but it’s also obviously imbued in within the fabric of his creative process in all facets. Between combining his influences of techno, electro and IDM and create an impressive tapestry, we eagerly awaited what the future would hold for him.
Luckily, that future was a guest mix for the latest episode of Newtype Rhythms; one that features Dahlhaus showing off his impressive range for the dancefloor while implementing a cathartic energy to the proceedings that can match his audiovisual intensity.
