Following previous editions from Arthur Boto Conley in 2011 and Don’t DJ in 2015, Travel By Goods release a selection of auditive sketches by Leipzig-based musicians Mix Mup and Kassem Mosse.
For the occasion, Mix Mup and Kassem Mosse made a public live remix of the label’s back-catalogue in November 2019, in front of a small audience in the off-space Kardamom, run by the two in Leipzig.
The result is a 10-track LP of low-slung house, abstract dub techno and experimental sound signatures presented in a limited edition of 250 copies in a gatefold sleeve and 50 copies in a regular cardboard-sleeve with one single cut-out and a numbered risographic print by artist Thomas Baldischwyler.
The release also features a 16-page booklet of photographs from Andrzej Steinbach and texts by writer Marius Goldhorn (in German) and ethnomusicologist Arthur Boto Conley (in English).
