Now on the cusp of their forty-second release, Berlin-based record label Voitax prepare to release the collaborative effort ‘Tik Tik‘ – courtesy of the producing duo MXC, composed by Coralie and Maroki.
Following previous appearances on Amsterdam-based imprint Flippen Disks, Utter and the label owned Spitskool, Amsterdam-based producer Maroki joins forces with Nottingham-based sound misfit Coralie for five tracks of cyclonic chaos. This five-track ‘Tik Tik‘ EP weaves thumping breaks, proto-trance oscillations, bass-heavy braindance, obscure techno cuts and nefarious step riddims into a trailblazing pendulum.
Our pick for the premiere is ‘Aiven‘ – a dreadful symphony evoking the awakening of dark spirits in earthly catacombs. Post-ecclesiastic melodies, footwork-influenced techno rhythms, psyched-out FX sounds, and throbbing basslines make it a 150BPM sacred stomper for your upcoming warehouse party.
‘Tik Tik’ EP is scheduled for release on 1st March via Voitax. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
