The latest episode of our sister mix series Newtype Rhythms returns with a magnificent guest mix by Los Angeles-based producer Nala, recorded live at Dirtybird Campout.
Within just the last couple of years, Nala has cemented herself as a unique voice (pun intended) within the dance music landscape; firmly planting themselves amongst the legendary Dirtybird crew and working directly alongside icons such as Barclay Crenshaw himself, as well as up-and-comers (and Newtype Rhythms alum) Nikki Nair.
Between her iridescent production style and her propensity for vocal hooks, Nala’s sonic outlook looks as bright as the California sun – with tracks matching that same heat and hue. With her future trajectory shoots straight towards heights unknown, it’s truly gratifying and thrilling to see that Nala could give Newtype Rhythms a bit of shine along the way.
