Perseus Traxx launches Secret Gang imprint with SG-001

Acid gunslinger Nigel Rogers aka Perseus Traxx flashes up 2016 with the debut drop of his newly-established imprint Secret Gang. The soberly-titled SG-001, a three-track EP courtesy of the Bunker and M>O>S affiliate himself, will be available on vinyl and digital from February 1st.

Entwining psychotropic bass tubes with frantic drumwork throughout a triplet of heated nightlife fragments, the York-based producer scoops his usual shot of club-sacking material over to the closest floor with fierce energy.

If the driving opener ‘Nightline From Tokyo‘ breaks the EP in with a heady mix of seesawing synth corrugations and chiming accents, clearly leaning towards easternmost stretches as its title implies, the riotous percussions drubbing through ‘Mysteries‘ toughen the ride quite drastically.

Shutting the parade, ‘Night Terror‘ engulfs into a malevolent delta of deep acid silt and merciless steely hat rides. Spilling its lawless space-pirate grooves with unflinching expertise, SG-001 opens Perseus Traxx’s newborn label catalogue under the best auspices.

Secret Gang 001 is released via Secret Gang on February 1st 2016, order a vinyl copy from Juno.
