Last weekend Village Underground celebrated the launch of their new club series ‘Superstition‘ by hosting a unique candle-lit techno rave set within the vast vestibule of the Shoreditch based club.
Alex Smoke opened with a rare live show accompanied with his own audio-visuals, gently easing the crowd into the night. Clockwork and Avatism stepped up at 1am for their live performance, in which they played a vast selection of 4 / 4 as well as dropping tracks from their recently released ‘Conducting The Method‘ EP on Vakant. Read the Inverted Audio review of the EP here.
Finally Marcel Fengler stepped up at 3am, for a 3 hour closing set, in which he played a pounding display of Ostgut Ton style techno. All in all a great night was had. We sent down our photographer Jaroslav Moravec to capture some of the highlights of the night.
Superstition returns to Village Underground on Friday 26th September with a special Rush Hour Record takeover with San Proper, Rick Wilhite, Awanto 3 and Antal. Further information will be released via Inverted Audio soon.
