Six years after their inaugural release, Nicosia-based record label Capparis Spinosa line up another hamper filled with three Levantine treats, courtesy of Cypriot label boss Alex Tomb.
Following previous releases on Several Reasons Recordings and Mano Le Tough’s record label Maeve — the digital only release ‘The Red Flavonoid Dope’ delivers two tech-house tools suited to late-night offshoots, paired with a remix from Swedish producer OLING.
Our pick from the release is ‘Sepiaria Linn’ thanks to its syrupy slumber wrapped in sultry drum pads, progressive arpeggios and squelching textures. If you’re an adventurous hiker in search of a lush foothill to harvest shrubby plants, this is your call.
