Premiere: Anastasia Kristensen – Paradox & Puzzle

Following up ‘Hand In Hand (Jonathan Kaspar Remix)’ from Tiga & Kölsch in January, Turbo Recoridngs return with ‘Moments Of Inertia‘ EP from Copenhagen-based DJ and producer Anastasia Kristensen.

After previous appearances on British label Houndstooth, Warp’s abstract dance-oriented subsidiary Arcola and her own imprint Absorb Emit, Anastasia Kristensen gears up her debut effort on Tiga’s imprint. Across three cuts of FX-splattered, fireball techno comets, Anastasia Kristensen carries the torch for post-industrial generations roaming around the Baltic sea.

Our pick from the release is ‘Paradox & Puzzle‘ – a coal-faced techno burner laced with rusty broadcasting noises, fast-paced kick-drums and hyperactive elevator door echoes. Peak-time action melting any crammed dance floor, this one is cold-pressed for tenebrous yard dwellers.

‘Moments Of Inertia’ EP is scheduled for release on 26th April via Turbo. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
