If you’re not familiar yet, Marguerite Records is a Milan-based record label operated by Luca Martinez and Alter D. The imprint was founded in 2015 and focuses on experimental-leaning sounds – ranging from electro-acoustic to modern noise to downtempo house onto future-jazz jams amongst other things.
After having put out their first two releases on cassette – a mixtape by Periodica‘s Filippo Zenna and the imprint’s proper debut EP ‘MRG001‘ – Marguerite have recently announced their debut four-track vinyl offering, featuring label co-founder Alter D, Milan’s Dude Club resident Insecurity Syndrome, Potatoheadz member JTs1 and Raw Cultures owner Asymmetrical.
Today we are premiering ‘Banging In The Haze‘ – a dusty jam brimming with raw hi-hats twirling along acidic synths. Marking the transition from a busy night to the caressing light of dawn, a celestial and smooth melody takes over darkness and deploys its wings towards welcoming lo-fi house lands; still exuding a metallic aftertaste of down-pitched breaks, muffled drums and magnetic bleeps.
‘MRG002’ is released via Marguerite Records at the end of October 2016.
