Started off in 2016, Eliott Litrowski and Christophe Amor’s venture Fuego International currently cruises at the slow yet steady pace of a release a year. After a debut EP by Melbourne-based producer George Hysteric, followed by a second outing from Too Smooth Christ last year, the Parisian imprint return with their third instalment courtesy of Dublin’s Jonny Dillon aka Automatic Tasty, ‘Confessions Of A Recovering Optimist EP‘, scheduled for release June 29.
As with the other two releases the label’s put out thus far, the vibe at work on Dillon’s EP is much lovingly beaming and rousing; conjuring up idyllic images of palm trees-strewn seaside scapes and breezy rooftop parties. Lifted from this lush, exotic package the sun-kissed acid of ‘Make Way For The Family Wonderful ‘ shall have you swaying hips straightaway with its clever mix of opalescent synthlines, bouncy 303 rolls and trumpeting melodic hooks by way of rallying cry, urging you to join in the fun and frenzy pronto. No matter what you’re doing, getting gas at the station or filling a report for your boss… looks like it’s f*ck this shit o’clock!
Confessions Of A Recovering Optimist EP is released via Fuego International on 29th June, pre-order a copy from Juno.
